I'd like to send a deep apology to my watchers, even if there aren't a lot of them! I just got around to submitting my favorite photos from my South Pacific trip, so bear with me on the overload...

Is baaack from Ozzie and Kiwilandddd

Wed Aug 6, 2008, 1:54 PM
LALALA I been havin too much caffeine and my brain is WIRED.

Okay. So.

I went to New Zealand and Ozzie (Australia to you Americans) over the last month and I tell you this.

Sheep are BIIIG animals and DON'T believe them when they tell you they don't bite because when they get jealous of their stallmate being petted they will try to bite and that would hurt.

New Zealand was gorgeous (and cold, as it was wintertime) with all the mountains and volcano-spat-out boulders and lots of green everywhere. The Waikato was flooding, which I guess isn't such a good thing, but Rotorua was really very pleasant. It's a city in a volcanic crater that has a ton of vents and fumaroles all over the place. There are hotsprings, too, and the local Maori pipe the steam and heat into wooden boxes called hangi to cook stuff. Maori microwave, as they say. It works, too. :3 They also use the hotspring water for a local spa, where you can soak in thirty-nine degrees celsius wonderfulness for as long as you want if you have twenty dollars. New Zealand is known for its greenstone, too, greenstone being jade in other lands, and I got some of that while I was there. It's lovely stuff, but it's so dense! It's heavier than a similarly-sized piece of granite. We also went to the Waitomo caves, the glowworm caves they featured on the Planet Earth caves episode. That place is wicked! The glowworms are SO pretty, too.

Ozzie was the coolness. We stayed in Sydney, which is probably the only big city I could ever live in. The Wallabies walloped the All Blacks in a rugby match the night before we arrived, so some of the Kentucky folks got made fun of for wearing All Black gear. One of the KY folks asked if elephants lived in New Zealand. She was dead serious, too. I lost a lot of respect for the human race right there... aaand I digress. Sydney is a big, big city, bigger than Rotorua or Auckland by a lot, and there were a ton of great restaurants all over. They listen to some great music, too, which made me happy. The zoos were amazing, and I seemed to befriend every animal that came within ten feet of me. It was just bizarre.

I'll put up pictures soon, once Mom un-confiscates my camera.

Oh yes. I has a camera.

Very excited about this summer, I am! I'm headed out to Australia, Hawai'i, and New Zealand in late July, so my camera and I should be seeing quite a lot. I also have a good many tournaments and sneak peeks to go to with my friends, and I can tell you that there's nothing quite like a road trip with your friends. If you haven't tried it, you should.

Anyways, I go to capture the local birdies and puppies. :3

[link]

Hee, it's Horus-Goddess! Ooh, isn't he pretty...

10. A dream come true: Aspect of Bahamut
[link]

Not the Aspect I was thinking of. Look out, long story here!
I spent a whole month hoping to pull Bahamut at the War of the Dragon Queen prerelease, and I was SO pumped when I got there. As soon as I was allowed to open mine, I tore in. The Huge figure is always at the bottom of the box, covered with an extra piece of cardboard, so all I saw was this silver paw. I thought, 'Okay, so there's only two or three silver pieces in the set, and the Eviscerator is a flat gray... HOLY FUCK!' I promptly ripped the box to bits and kind of had a sort of joyful... erm, seizure? I was briefly incapable of holding still or silent, basically, and probably deafened everyone in the room. My squeals have been described as sonic weapons by several of my friends, so... uh, next picture.
